Bomb Threat at Nuuk Airport Leads to Evacuation
On Monday morning, Nuuk Airport became the focus of a police investigation following a bomb threat made by a 17-year-old. The situation prompted immediate action, leading to the evacuation of all passengers and staff to the parking lot as authorities worked swiftly to secure the area.
Warden Preben Kleist confirmed that law enforcement officials are diligently investigating the incident, though they are preparing to lift the cordon soon.
“The police received the report at ten o’clock this morning. We are conducting a thorough investigation, and we must also evaluate whether the involvement of social services is necessary, considering that the individual in question is a minor,” Kleist stated.
As the investigation unfolds, airport operations remain temporarily disrupted, but authorities are working to ensure the safety and security of all involved.
