Her resignation has been announced by the board of Royal Greenland in a press release on its website.

Janne Moltke-Leth is CEO of the well-known and legendary Danish auction house Bruun Rasmussen and a member of the board of directors of Sydbank.

She was elected to the fishing group’s board of directors by Naalakkersuisut, and thus the self-government that owns Royal Greenland, in May 2024.

    – A transformative year that has been marked by major decisions and changes in the company, including the decision to consolidate management power in Nuuk and to focus on core markets and species, Royal Greenland writes about 2024.

Royal Greenland had a loss after tax of 265 million kroner in 2024, compared to a loss of 211 million kroner the year before.

    Management challenges

Royal Greenland is not only facing financial but also managerial challenges. In February this year, the group suddenly fired the company’s CEO Susanne Arfelt Rajamand.

In addition, Deputy CEO and Production Director Lars Nielsen has chosen to step down this year, while Nils Duus Kinnerup resigned as CFO in October 2024.

And now Janne Moltke-Leth has said goodbye to the board of directors of Royal Greenland.

    – It has been an absolute pleasure and a great honor to be part of Royal Greenland’s board of directors. I am convinced that the organization is heading in a good direction, and therefore it is with peace of mind that I now resign, says Janne Moltke-Leth in the press release.

She gets kind words from board chair Maliina Abelsen.

    – I would like to thank Janne for her dedicated efforts for Royal Greenland. In a time of change, she has contributed to ensuring that Greenland’s largest company remains strong in the future and remains firmly rooted in Greenland and the Greenlandic people, says Chairman of the Board, Maliina Abelsen.

The Greenland Government has not yet taken a position on who will replace Janne Moltke-Leth as a board member of Royal Greenland.
