The much-anticipated Backyard Ultra is set to debut on March 7, kicking off bright and early at 7 AM, as announced by Runderful Nuuk, the city’s amateur sports association, via their Facebook page.

In this unique format, participants will tackle a fixed 6.7-kilometer circuit, embarking on a new lap every hour. Each runner has one hour to complete the course; if they fail to do so, or if they choose to bow out, their race concludes. The ultimate victor will either be the “last man standing” or those who successfully complete approximately 120 kilometers with a cumulative elevation of 2,400 meters.

This innovative twist on endurance racing promises to challenge even the most seasoned athletes, creating an exciting atmosphere as competitors push their limits. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or a curious newcomer, the Backyard Ultra is an event not to be missed.
