A large delegation from Greenland traveled to the United States when Adventure Elevate North America 2025 was held in Denver.

In the future, many more North American tourists are expected in Greenland when it becomes possible to fly directly from the USA. This of course provides new opportunities and challenges for the industries. That is why a large delegation from Greenland has just visited the USA for the Adventure Elevate North America conference in Denver, Colorado.

That is why a large delegation from Greenland has just visited the USA for the Adventure Elevate North America conference in Denver, Colorado. Announcement

It is an international industry event with a focus on adventure tourism, which this time brought together participants from a total of 46 countries.  Adventure tourism is tourism that prioritizes nature, the environment, physical activity and authentic local experiences.

New flight connections triple the number of guests at Hotel Hans Egede

The delegation from Greenland was coordinated by Visit Greenland and consisted of Arctic Circle Treks, Hotel SØMA, Mikami Guest Houses, Travel by Heart, Two Ravens, Destination Disko Bay, Destination Arctic Circle, Explore North Greenland and Visit Greenland.

    Connecting to future guests

    – The fact that nine companies from Greenland participated in the event demonstrates a willingness to invest in the future of tourism – both in time, resources and commitment. It is an effort that not only strengthens access to international markets, but also has the potential to create value for both the industry and the local communities that welcome guests, Visit Greenland assesses.

The participants have had the opportunity to apply for financial support for the trip through a joint support scheme between Visit Greenland and NALIK Ventures.

    – When Greenlandic actors participate in international events like Adventure Elevate, it is about creating connections with future guests and partners – and about showing what Greenland stands for, emphasizes Visit Greenland.

The first passenger flight direct from New York is expected to land in Nuuk on Saturday, June 14.
