According to their manager, Suulut Geisler, it was both a tough and moving competition:

– Although many of the other participants were physically larger, the two Greenlandic athletes showed that raw strength, technique and willpower can trump everything.

– As the competition progressed, it became clear that it would all end in an exciting and intense duel between the two compatriots – and it did. In the end, it was almost entirely between Nukappiannguaq and Nikolaj, who delivered an unforgettable finish, says Suulut Geisler in a press release.

Gold and silver – but one winner

In the end, it was Nikolaj Joensen who secured the gold medal, while Nukappiannguaq Vetterlain received a silver medal. With both placings, they secure entry to the Danish Strongman Championship later in the year.
