Hundreds were ready for the opening of the supermarket
Customers lined up when the brand new supermarket Brugseni Natalie opened on Monday in the Nuuk district of Nuussuaq.
The project has been several years in the making, and on Monday this week, the brand new Brugseni Natalie opened its doors to customers for the first time.
The project hasAnnouncement
– We are really proud of the new store that we are opening, says CEO Allan Kristoffersen in a press release.
It was back in 2019 that Brugseni opened a store in the building that previously housed Butik Natalie. Butik Natalie was built in the early 1990s and run by Svend Give Olesen as an independent grocer before he sold his business to Kalaallit Nunaanni Brugseni on January 1, 2019.
Now Brugseni has built a brand new supermarket next to the old store, and director Allan Kristoffersen was ready for the opening on Monday morning, as were hundreds of members and customers who wanted to come in and shop:
– The old Brugseni Natalie has done well for a number of years, where the store has served customers and members in the local area.
– It is a store that has always been growing, and that is why we are now proud to present a completely new and state-of-the-art customer experience that will create even greater growth in the future, says Allan Kristoffersen.
Brugseni informs that the old store will now be demolished. Distributor Jørgen Hammond will continue as distributor in the new store.
– Jørgen Hammond comes from Uummannaq and has been at Brugseni for most of his career, where he has been sous chef, branch manager, food chef and now continues as a distributor, writes Brugseni.
