Greenland’s futsal landscape is buzzing with excitement as Angutivik Gundel-Collin, a standout player on the national team, embarks on a promising new chapter. He has officially signed with KM Agency, a prominent international futsal firm, and will suit up for the Italian club FC Babylon in Sassari.
This pivotal move is part of a broader initiative aimed at opening up international pathways for Greenlandic athletes. Steven De Oiliviera Schumann, who plays a key role within the national team framework, took the lead in fostering this opportunity.
“Angutivik received thorough guidance to help him navigate the contract and the overall process,” Schumann explained. “I facilitated discussions with the agent, exploring various possibilities. After two or three months of back-and-forth negotiations, we finally reached an agreement.”
Gundel-Collin will compete not only with FC Babylon’s senior futsal team but also their under-19 squad. This contract represents more than just a new adventure; it is a significant milestone for both Angutivik and the future of futsal in Greenland on the international stage.
