Tender Portal for Public Procurement Shuts Down, Temporary Solution in Place
In a significant move aimed at addressing critical flaws, the tender portal for public procurement has officially closed, with a temporary solution now in effect, according to an announcement on the Naalakkersuisut’s website.
The current portal has faced grave challenges, described as “marked by such significant errors, deficiencies, and security challenges that it is no longer justifiable to maintain its operation,” prompting the closure effective immediately. Previously managed by the Norwegian Economic and Personnel Agency (ASA), the oversight of the portal has now shifted to the Department for Business, Raw Materials, Energy, the Judiciary, and Gender Equality as of the beginning of this month.
The department has confirmed that work is underway to establish a new and more efficient tender portal. While this process unfolds, users can expect access to a temporary portal starting February 2, 2026.
Details of the Temporary Solution
From today, those interested in active tenders, completed projects, and winner announcements can find information on Govgen.gl. However, until a new permanent solution is rolled out, the creation of new tenders and submission of bids will need to be conducted through another platform, sullissivik.gl.
Additionally, the department will engage in discussions with stakeholders who rely on the tender portal, in collaboration with the Agency for Digitalisation. These dialogue meetings are intended to address questions and refine workflows during this transitional period, as the department acknowledges the challenges these changes may pose for users.
