When the Mineral Resources Authority has received an application for field activity, the application material is sent to a hearing with relevant authorities, including the municipality concerned. The hearing usually lasts three weeks. Responses to the hearing are forwarded to the applicant. Based on the application material, the received response to the hearing and the applicant’s response to the response to the hearing, the Mineral Resources Authority then makes a decision to approve or reject the application for field activity. All approved field activities are published in the Mineral Brochure, which will be published during July 2025.
