    In a recent announcement, the Naalakkersuisut has appointed 43-year-old Mikael Mansi Rasmussen as the new head of the Department of Social Affairs, Labor Market, and Home Affairs. This news was conveyed by the Ministry of the Presidency in an official press release.

    Rasmussen joins the department from Qeqertalik Municipality, where he has served as the area manager overseeing culture, leisure, health, sports, prevention, and Majoriaq programs. His diverse background equips him with a wealth of experience in various public sectors.

    Described as a dynamic leader, Rasmussen holds an executive MBA and brings with him years of experience in public management. The press release emphasized that his expertise will be instrumental in enhancing the department’s functions while fostering collaboration among employees.

    Mikael Mansi Rasmussen is set to officially begin his role on December 1, 2025.
