Videos and easy-to-understand reading material about the rights of indigenous peoples are being published today. The Danish Council for Human Rights is behind the publications.

Video explainers and easy-to-read pamphlets about indigenous peoples’ rights are intended to make paragraphs and heavy legal terms easier to understand.

And from today, both parts are available on the Danish Council for Human Rights website.

    – The purpose of the publications is to provide Greenlandic citizens and those interested in human rights with an easy-to-understand introduction to the rights of indigenous peoples in Greenland, writes the Danish Council for Human Rights in connection with the publication.

They do this by delving into and unfolding “key rights documents, identifying challenges and providing concrete examples from Greenland and Denmark based on UN reporting and national studies,” they write.

Among the video material, you can find videos explaining discrimination against LGBTQIA+ people and human rights in Greenland.

The easy-to-read publication can be found here.
