The king runs three times in three different cities.

King Frederik and Queen Mary’s three youngest children, Princess Isabella, Princess Josephine and Prince Vincent, kicked off the Royal Run in Copenhagen on Monday morning.

The three ran the distance of one mile, which is equivalent to 1.609 kilometers.

They were accompanied around the distance by police officers on bicycles, a live broadcast from TV 2 shows.

Prince Vincent finished first of the three, followed by Princess Josephine and then Princess Isabella.

According to TV 2, Prince Vincent finished in five minutes and 56 seconds.

Princess Josephine covered the distance in about nine minutes, while Princess Isabella ran it in ten minutes.

Before that, their father, King Frederik, had run the same distance in Ribe. Here he declared himself “proud that my entire family is participating today”.

After the visit to Ribe, King Frederik headed for Horsens, where he was to run five kilometers. He will finish with ten kilometers in Copenhagen and Frederiksberg tonight.

Crown Prince Christian also ran in Viborg, and Queen Mary ran five kilometers in Korsør on Monday afternoon.
