Handball Takes Center Stage in Sisimiut Thanks to Hej Foundation
Children and young people in Sisimiut recently enjoyed an exciting week brimming with handball activities, courtesy of the Hej Foundation’s inaugural visit to the city.
Kicking off a series of engaging events, the foundation organized an array of training sessions that not only enthused young athletes but also offered local coaches a wealth of inspiration and new strategies. Led by national coach Johannes Groth, the training attracted players from various coastal towns, culminating in a well-attended exhibition match that showcased the talent and dedication of the participants.
Adding further depth to the program, physiotherapist and physical trainer Jakob Studsgaard from TAAK delivered insightful presentations paired with hands-on training focused on physical conditioning. Meanwhile, national team goalkeeper Isak Olsen provided specialized training aimed at honing the skills of aspiring goalkeepers.
With the energy from Sisimiut still fresh, the Hej Foundation is gearing up for its next stop: the vibrant town of Ilulissat. The ripple effects of this handball event promise to inspire and elevate local talent across the region.
