Actually, the French president, the Danish prime minister and the chairman of the Greenlandic government were supposed to have gone by helicopter into the Buksefjord and seen the hydroelectric power plant, and by helicopter to the Isfjord when Emanuel Macron landed.

But the plan has changed due to fog over Nuuk.

Instead, the three government leaders have gone directly to the frigate Niels Juel, where they will discuss security and cooperation policy.

At a little after half past two, the three government leaders took off in a helicopter to fly to Nunatarsuaq in Godthåbsfjorden. This is reported by Sermitsiaq.ag.

According to the newspaper, the three leaders will hear about the consequences of climate change in the area. It is not known for sure how long the trip will take.

People had gathered in Nuuk to catch a glimpse of the three government leaders and watch the helicopter take off, says KNR’s reporter.
