Jonas Hasselriis Appointed Managing Director as Tusass Continues Its Steady Course

In a move reflecting its ongoing commitment to strategic growth, Tusass A/S announced on Friday the resignation of Toke Binzer, who has decided to further his career with Royal Greenland. Binzer’s tenure saw the company achieve significant milestones, enhancing its stature both nationally and internationally.

Reflecting on his time at Tusass, Binzer remarked, “The collaboration with both our board and ownership has been instrumental in achieving these positive results, thanks in large part to the incredible dedication shown by our team.” He joined Tusass as finance director on October 1, 2022, and stepped into the role of chief executive on March 1, 2024, before embarking on this new chapter at Royal Greenland.

Bodil Marie Damgaard, chairperson of the Tusass board, expressed gratitude for Binzer’s impact on the organization. “We are incredibly satisfied with Toke Binzer’s tremendous contributions and the results he helped achieve alongside other management members. His leadership has left an indelible mark on Tusass, and we wish him all the best with his upcoming challenges.”

    A Seamless Transition

Stepping into the role of managing director is Jonas Hasselriis, the current deputy director. Hasselriis will ensure the continuity of Tusass’s current strategic initiatives, which focus on improving services nationwide, lowering prices, and advancing infrastructure projects, including the establishment of a new submarine cable and data center.

“This is an exciting time for Tusass,” said Damgaard. “We have a solid foundation thanks to the management team, and we’re pleased to maintain stability and continuity in our leadership with Jonas at the helm.”

Under Binzer’s guidance, Tusass made considerable strides, highlighted by several key achievements:

    • Record Financial Performance: The company reported its best financial results ever, underscoring a robust and sustainable business model.
    • Investments in Digital Infrastructure: A historic DKK 3 billion allocation for the establishment of a new submarine cable positions Greenland for a digitally resilient future.
    • International Support: Securing over DKK 400 million in funding from the EU highlights global confidence in Tusass’s vision and projects.
    • Enhanced Governance: The company achieved ISAE 3402 certification, strengthening its commitment to safety and quality standards.

With a promising path ahead, Tusass stands poised to navigate the future, building on the solid legacy left by Binzer as it embraces new leadership under Hasselriis.
