On Friday morning, the Greenland Police announced on Facebook that they were present in Nuussuaq in Nuuk during the night because there had been an incident involving firearms.

The incident was reported to the police at 2:18 a.m.

Two young women were injured during the incident and are being treated for their injuries, while five people have been arrested, Greenland Police wrote in a press release on Friday morning.

The road between Sangoriq and Nuussuaq has been closed, but is now open again because the incident is ‘over’.

The police are not writing anything about what exactly happened, but the police are still on the scene to investigate, they write.

The police also state that they have no further comment on the case at this time.
