As the last official point, the three heads of state will now hold a press conference in the colonial harbor in Nuuk.

The Chairman of Naalakkersuisut, Jens-Frederik Nielsen, begins by welcoming the French President and expressing his gratitude for the support from France to Greenland.

    – From the Greenlandic people and the Greenlandic government, thank you. I look forward to a future where we can work more closely together, said Jens-Frederik Nielsen.

The floor goes to Emanuel Macron, who thanks him for being here.

    – Greenland can neither be bought nor taken, he says. He emphasizes that France stands side by side with Greenland.

    – France has decided to open a consulate general here in Nuuk, to be closer to you, says the president.

    – You are not alone. We will stand with you, believe me, says Emanuel Macron.

The EU, like France, stands side by side with Greenland, the president has said several times.

    – Long live Greenland, long live Denmark, long live our friendship, long live Europe.

This is how Emanuel Macron ends the press conference. He thanks again for the opportunity to visit the ‘beautiful’ Greenland.

    Tak igen

Mette Frederiksen is the last of the three leaders to speak.

    – Thank you for being here side by side with us, she says to Emanuel Macron.

She uses the opportunity to say that the meeting between the three today was also about talking about security.

KNR opens the ballet for questions.

How will your visit to Greenland today influence your meeting with US President Donald Trump tomorrow?

How will your visit to Greenland today influence your meeting with US President Donald Trump tomorrow?

    – I am optimistic that there is an opportunity to create a better future with cooperation and not provocation, he says.

He also says that he will speak enthusiastically about Greenland when he meets with Donald Trump tomorrow.

As the last, DR asks whether the French president still sees the United States as an ally of France

And they are, he assures, before the three heads of state leave the colonial port in Nuuk again, and the press conference is over.
