This June, B67 will host a significant event as it welcomes FC Copenhagen for a girls’ soccer camp from June 23rd to 24th. The camp, set to take place on the expansive field outside Inussivik, is designed for girls aged 8 to 15 and will accommodate up to 50 participants.
The initiative aims to bolster girls’ football in Greenland, providing young athletes with a valuable opportunity to nurture their skills and develop their talent. While B67 and FC Copenhagen typically organize a larger football camp every two years for both girls and boys, this year’s offering has been refined into a more focused program specifically for girls, with the next larger-scale camp scheduled for next year.
Notably, the girls’ youth talent manager from FC Copenhagen will lead the training alongside other experienced coaches. They will share insights and techniques drawn from high-level talent development, enriching the experience for all attendees.
In the words of B67 board member Ungaaq Abelsen, the ambition behind the girls’ football school is clear: to “create even more opportunities for young girls who love football.” Each participant will also receive training gear as part of the camp package.
For a fee of DKK 500, attendees can engage in training sessions each day from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. However, spaces are limited, and B67’s website indicates that only a few spots remain.
B67 has been collaborating with FC Copenhagen since 2022, serving as the club’s inaugural partner in Greenland. This partnership is rooted in a shared commitment to foster stronger football environments and provide young players access to professional guidance and interaction between the two clubs—both through digital platforms and in-person visits.
