Power outages are currently sweeping across the capital, leaving residents in the dark.
Nukissiorfiit, the local energy provider, made this announcement on their Facebook page.
Tusass, the telecommunications company, addressed the situation on their website. They cautioned that the power cuts could disrupt some mobile connections. Their advice for those affected is to toggle airplane mode on and off to regain a signal. If that doesn’t work, a simple restart of the device might do the trick.
The cause of the outages remains unclear at this time.

Greenland Airports has informed Sermitsiaq that the Nuuk airport is currently operating on emergency generators, ensuring that flights will continue despite the ongoing power disruption.
According to the most recent update from Nukissiorfiit, power is expected to be restored throughout the city within the next two hours.
