Dr. Phil won’t be making a trip to Ittoqqortoormiit after all. This information has been confirmed by both the Greenland Energy Company and reported by DR, with KNR also weighing in.
Phil McGraw, better known as Dr. Phil, was set to visit the remote Greenlandic community in partnership with the Greenland Energy Company. The purpose of his trip was to film a new documentary series focused on the company’s quest for oil in the region.
However, Roderick McIllree, the CEO of the Greenland Energy Company, stated unequivocally in a written statement to KNR, “Dr. Phil has no plans to visit Ittoqqortoormiit or East Greenland in July or at any other time this year.”
