Update at 12:56: The man has been found safe and sound and is now on his way back to Nuuk aboard the police boat.

11.53 yesterday is the last time a 35-year-old man was seen, says Greenland Police Chief Carl Sværd.

The man was in a depressed state when he sailed past a Targa, police say.

    – The police have not initiated a SAR operation, but boaters in the area have been urged to keep an extra eye out, says Carl Sværd.

    – If anyone knows anything about the 35-year-old or sees him, they should contact the Greenland Police, says the chief of police.

The man was sailing in a Flipper 640 with a 225 horsepower outboard motor and black canopy.

If you see the man, you can contact the police at 70 14 48.
