Johanne Tobiassen Elected as Deputy Chairman of Greenland Sports Confederation

Johanne Tobiassen has officially stepped into the role of deputy chairman of the Greenland Sports Confederation (GIF), succeeding Bolethe Stenskov after garnering more votes than the incumbent. Tobiassen’s long-standing involvement with the Qajaq association, particularly in Nuuk, underpins her commitment and experience that will now serve her in this significant position.

The election took place during GIF’s recent board of representatives meeting, which brought together delegates from across the nation to deliberate on pressing matters such as the association’s finances, management, and overall board composition. Alongside Tobiassen, Frederik Lundblad was re-elected to continue his dedicated service on the board.

    The Newly Elected Board

    • Chairperson: Claus Erik Nielsen
    • Deputy Chairperson: Johanne Tobiassen
    • Board Members: Frederik Lundblad, Sequssuna Fleischer Schmidt, and Hans Frederik Olsen

The newly constituted board reflects a blend of experience and fresh perspectives, all aimed at steering Greenland’s sports landscape towards new heights.
