Embark on a memorable expedition through the wonders of southeast Iceland.

    Day 1 | Southeast Bound
Waterfalls, Black Sand Beaches & Scenic Wonders

Our adventure begins in Reykjavík, setting the stage for a day filled with natural marvels. Our first destination is the stunning Seljalandsfoss waterfall, where, during the summer, you’ll have the unique opportunity to stroll behind the cascading waters for an unforgettable perspective. Next, we journey to the dramatic Skógafoss waterfall, which plunges a striking 200 feet (61 m). A stairway leads you to stunning panoramic views from above.

As we continue, we’ll arrive at the renowned Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach, famed for its striking black sands and incredible basalt column formations. Here, you’ll enjoy a delightful lunch at the Black Beach Restaurant before passing through the picturesque town of Vík and journeying alongside the magnificent Vatnajökull National Park, where Iceland’s tallest mountains and expansive glaciers await.

As evening falls, relax at Hotel Jökulsárlón, where you’ll have access to outdoor hot tubs and a sauna, the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploration. With the summer sun illuminating the landscape, take time to soak in the extraordinary surroundings.

    Day 2 | Glacier Wonders
Exploring Vatnajökull National Park’s Glacier Landscapes

On our second day, we will delve deeper into the glacier magnificence of the southeast, beginning with a visit to the extraordinary Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon. Here, keep an eye out for seals gliding elegantly amid the massive icebergs that drift in the lagoon, culminating in the captivating sight of the icebergs washed up on the shores of Diamond Beach.

Next, our adventure continues with a thrilling glacier hike on Falljökull glacier*. Accompanied by skilled guides, you will explore the glacier’s intricate formations and stunning blue hues, capturing the essence of this dynamic ice landscape in unforgettable photographs. After this exhilarating experience, we will begin our journey back to Reykjavík, pausing for a leisurely lunch at a local restaurant, with a timeline aimed to return in time for dinner in the city.

    * Please note that the glacier hike is conducted in a small group led by local partners, ensuring a more personalized experience.
